The first theme from this piece came from being inspired by pianist Evgeny Kissin’s performance of Chopin’s Prelude no.16 in Bbmi, although it developed into a more flamenco flavored song. I named it after my first great banjo (Granada) and then for the banjo that I believed would become my concert banjo (Vega Vox), and the one pictured on the cover.
